EOTDs Neutral & Color

On my two days off I played with my eye makeup and made it more dramatic. I love both of these looks but I honestly don't remember what I used in the neutral look!

Book Review: Through The Looking Glass

I mentioned in my June Favorites how I was feeling stressed about moving my grandma into a different home and having to sell her house. My uncle has been living there for many years and he, like me, is an avid reader. He had BOXES and BOXES of books sitting in the garage. This is one I found that made me really excited! Alice in Wonderland is my favorite movie (both of them) and Through The Looking Glass was something I was wanting to read for a while- I read the book Alice in Wonderland about a year ago.

FOTD: Work Appropriate

So I said I would switch up my blog from so many book reviews to a little more beauty again. As you might have noticed, I go through spurts of certain things- beauty, books, fashion. And I tend to post a lot of beauty reviews, book reviews, hauls, but with some other posts in between. It's been hard to post something different than book reviews because that's all I have been doing recently. It's hard to review products when I tend to wear the same things every day and when a lot of my unreviewed items are a bit inappropriate for work.

Book Review: Red Riding Hood

The past week's posts have been mainly book reviews and that's mainly because my work doesn't allow bright makeup, I have to wear a uniform, but my job has been very boring that all I do is read most of the night. I will be doing FOTDs of my work appropriate makeup but they won't be very exciting as I'm still trying to use up products.

Anyway, I've been reading a lot so I've been getting through books extremely quickly and therefore posting reviews left and right. There will be at least 2 more after this review until it stops for a while. They're putting me in a different position which will be good for my boredom but I won't have much to post until my days off!

Read on for the review...

Book Review: Thirteen Reasons Why

Summary: Clay Jensen doesn't want anything to do with the tapes Hannah Baker made. Hannah is dead. Her secrets should be buried with her. Then Hannah's voice tells Clay that his name is on her tapes- and that he is, in some way, responsible for her death. All through the night, Clay keeps listening. He follows Hannah's recorded words throughout his small town. . . and what he discovers changes his life forever.

May/June Empties

I always forget to take a picture of all my empties as a sort of 'intro' photo! Anyway, I have a lot of empties this month so get ready for a picture spam...

Review: ELF Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

This is something I'm also project panning so I wanted to review it before I used it all up. I am only going to review the concealer side because I don't like the highlighter side- I have oily skin so it just makes my skin look shinier.

Book Review: A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

Well it's been just over a month since my last book review! My high school's library was getting rid of some older books and I was able to get this one. Of course, this was a couple years ago and classic me, I just this year picked it up to read. The book was in a slightly worse than normal condition and some of the first pages were falling out.

Review: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer

Do you sense a pattern here? You might be able to tell that I'm currently on a review kick on the items I'm project panning. I've already reviewed ELF's Tickled Pink blush but there are many more I haven't shared my thoughts on. This mini primer came with my Lorac Unzipped Palette I bought just over a year ago. I haven't used this primer every single day, regardless it has lasted months!!

A New Combination

Please excuse the state of my hands- I'm left handed so pens/pencils tend to rub off on my pinky finger. Anyway, this actually isn't a polish you can buy (although I'm sure you can find dupes for it!)

Review: Wet N Wild Brulee

I bought this shadow over a year ago. I then used it when I went to Costa Rica for a week. This shadow faded very quickly there as I was only using ELF's $1 primer and that couldn't battle Costa Rica's humidity and random rain. I didn't pick it up again until mid-May. Then I realized what I was missing...

June Favorites

June has been a whirlwind of stress, heat, and more stress. I've spent most weekends at my grandma's house, going through a whole bunch of stuff to figure out if we should keep it or throw it out. We had a garage sale and raised a bit of cash to help my grandma get the care she needs. She has stage 4 kidney disease, diabetes, and is now mourning the loss of her husband that she's been with for 70 years. It will, like many other things, get better. My friends and I are also trying to secure an apartment for this school year. The rent of the apartment we want is around $550, which is $50 more a month than I planned on. This is adding even more stress. I am already committed so it is out of the question to back out and live at home instead. Regardless, I am still excited. Now that this little update is over, let's move on with my favorites!
