June Empties

I can't believe June is more than halfway over. I've been on summer break for a month but it sure doesn't feel like it!

Milani Uptown Mauve Lipstick Review

First off, sorry for the terrible green lighting. I prefer this Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Uptown Mauve more than the one in Ruby Valentine. It definitely lasts longer than Ruby Valentine and I like the color more!

Milani Ruby Valentine Lipstick Review

I think I have 4 Milani Color Statement lipsticks total and I will be reviewing all of them in the next couple weeks. This lipstick, in Ruby Valentine, has both good and bad qualities to it. It's a lipstick I hope to finish up by the end of 2014.

Affordable Beauty: Ulta Haul

Next up in the series is Ulta! Ulta has a mix of "drugstore" and midrange makeup. I love taking advantage of their weekly $3.50 off $10 coupon and BOGO 50% off deals!

NYC Expert Last Lip Color Review

I received this lipstick in my Uni Vox Box a couple weeks ago. It's called Forever Fuchsia but I think it should have 'unicorn' in the name somewhere. I finally gave myself some time to try it out and let's just say I'm really upset NYC isn't completely cruelty free. (For more information check out this post from Logical Harmony.)

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons Review

Playtex is my favorite brand of tampons. Their tampons have a comfortable applicator, never leak, and aren’t heavily scented. The Tampax tampons I’ve tried are disgustingly scented and have leaked on me.

ELF Glitter Nail Polishes Review

I showed these in a haul I posted a little while ago. Love Me is on the left and Fairy Dust is on the right. I was so excited to try these glitters out because I bought them for only $1 each. That's not bad at all for glitter polish. I quickly realized that these glitters are really only good for special events (or rather a short time period.)

Influenster Uni Vox Box

Every time I thought about blogging this past month, my shoulders would slump forward and I would remember how tired I felt. For me, every post should be almost perfect- well edited and photographed pictures and valuable information. The thought of having to do that much work for just one blog post seemed daunting against all the school work I was doing. Blogging is sometimes like a second job and I realize I need to make more time for it. I won't make any promises about a posting schedule, but I will say that I have a lot more ideas for blog posts in the future. Today, March 28, is my 20th birthday and I finally received my Influenster Vox Box!

And no, it didn't come ripped like that. My mom wanted to see what I got while we were at dinner and I, not having access to scissors, proceeded to rip it open.

First Empties of 2014!

So let's get started with makeup!

C.O. Bigelow French Vanilla Mint lip balm: This was really nice but it's very old and I didn't want to chance it breaking me out around my lips!

ELF Eyelid Primers: These didn't work for me at all. I'm currently cleaning out my makeup and decided these needed to go.

Chapstick: This actually expired a few years ago!

Daisy perfume sample: I liked wearing this, but I haven't bought perfume in years and I don't plan on buying any anytime soon.

Sephora Army Green: This mini nail polish was good, but it chipped pretty quickly. I don't plan on buying any more Sephora nail polishes!

Glide floss: I realized I needed to floss more at the end of last year. I liked this a lot.

Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil: This helped dry up my acne but the smell was VERY strong. This will always be my backup acne treatment.

Jergens lotion: I wish this was cruelty free because it is so lovely.

Sunscreen: This is super old. Time for new sunscreen.

Zoya Remove+: This is an amazing cruelty free polish remover. I will repurchase this as soon as I can get myself to spend the money on it.

Vitafusion MultiVites: I'm a child when it comes to vitamins. I love gummy vitamins and, as an adult, I choose to continue to buy them. Will always repurchase.

Walmart Hot Apple Cider candle: I burned this for a couple weeks during the holiday and when I had the stomach flu. I feel like it helped me feel better!

I'll probably be posting another 'empties' soon as I'm almost done with a lot of products!

NYX's Enchanted Forest

I had wanted to use this glitter polish again for some time. As I'm trying to use up a mini army green polish, I thought it was the perfect time to use both!

Book Review: Divergent

Let it be known that I borrowed this book from my roommate Lauren after weeks of her fangirling about it haha. Anyway, as it is an upcoming movie and the internet seems to be excited about the series, I decided to finally read it.

Sephora's Blanc de Blanc

Sorry for the double nail polish posts! This nail polish is currently on sale at Sephora for $5! I took the last one at my local Sephora so I would run out and purchase it if you like it!

Orly's Bus Stop Crimson

I'm getting back to swatching my cruelty free nail polishes this year. First up is Orly's Bus Stop Crimson. I got this on sale at CVS a couple months ago. It's a brown based red (aka a dark crimson, haha).

Ice Skating

Ice skating has always been this fascinating thing to me. That people could put on skates and literally glide across ice is awesome. Two of my best friends and I went ice skating a year ago in San Pedro, California. Last Saturday we decided to go again- but this time to a different place!

2013 Empties

This is officially my last empties post of 2013. It's so weird to think about all the products I've finished this year! I've split them up by category (sort of haha).
